Solid Multinational setup and skills transitioning experience

After having migrated all ICT services into Tanzania from South Africa my main function is to build the required skills capacity and localize these skills for the future sustainment of required ICT Support and Services in Tanzania. The days comprise of building and maturing existing skills into a developed and sustainable level. Development programs are being formulated and managed over the past 4 years to a level where we have managed to localize 80% of all support and service requirements in country. The next advances levels of Service Management and Sustainability assurances has been developed and well on track of meeting our next 3 year vision on this development. As a result of the job satisfaction due to progressive skills and varying job levels has created special relationships and certainly embedded levels of trust never seen or witnessed before locally.

Pros: Wonderful opportunity to stratch technology and build a new business over time.
Cons: Intense and dedication required for much longer than initially anticipated.

Working with different cultures. Understanding how other people function and do work differently Excellent relationship and able to work with any race, culture or gender. Working for this company for over 10 years, has made me realise the importance of my employer by making the most important aspect is that the people are the company

Cons: there are no cons, just a lot more learning
