Growth and Change of environment

A typical work day is to handle incoming and outgoing trucks at the same time. My relationship with the workers is good but some don't see the same as I'm a very strict person. I have learned how to manage and work with people, how to manage stock and how to deal with customers complains. To deal with disciplinary actions. What I enjoy most about my work is that I've learned to master it. The most challenging aspects is having to supply stock to the branches and later they will say they never received some of the stock.

It's a fast pace, but we are being micro managed and it feels like we are kids sometmes.

Academy Brushware is a fun environment and we in cape town work well together. The problem is that we have to be told from joburg how to run our branch where we have a good work ethic. When head office comes here we feel inferior and like we not doing our jobs properly but we are.

Pros: Our company pays our provident fund
Cons: Theres no incentives

I am good communicator when its come work.

I am team leader, good to monitor the staff. I have been an admin clerk for 14 years. Picker for 2 months, supervisor for 7 months, my daily duties as an admin clerk. Invoicing, processing orders, solving cutomer queries telephonically, scanning, filing, faxing, photocopying, emailing, processing driver's trip sheets, capturing driver's pod's and working as a team leader. Duties as a picker. Picking the ordered stock and pack it according to stock codes. As an inbound supervisor: processing orders, monitoring the staff, offloading trucks and loading trucks, capturing the stock to spread sheet, receiving stock from suppliers and managing the stock taking.

Cons: 9 hours

I learned operating machines but nothing else as there were no oppotùnities in that campany

It was good at first as i was learning new things but it just went ewad hecause i knew each and every job there and it was no longer challenging for me thats why i decided to leave

Pros: Getting to close in december thats all

Excellent learning curve

Academy Brusware is a big company owned by Bidvest. it's a nice company to work for. I am a team player so I get along well with everyone. I have learned to provide the best service to all customers that I deal with on a daily basis. The most challenging thing is doing monthly figures as I need to ensure that everyone balance with the system. But I always get it right. I enjoy everything that I do

It was the better place to gain the logistic knowledge

Is was an extrovert . I have been an admin clerk / packer and the supervisor after I got promoted to be an inbound and outbound supervisor.my duties were to load and off-load the trucks, sealing, checking the paper work that corresponds with the stock in the truck.check stock from the warehouse is correct and correctly loaded and sealed correctly, capturing the stock to the spread sheet, processing orders, invoicing, filing, emailing, scanning, photocopying, faxing, monitoring staff and performing well on stock taking. I am bubbly person who works with variety of people. I enjoy working long hours to meet the dead line of stock deliveries.

Pros: Gained more experience in different departments
Cons: Able to meet deadlines
