Excellent learning curve from health to motor industry

In the beginning it was a bit of a challenge for me as I had come from a total different background as far as product components was concerned. Being a quick learner it was not difficult as I had experience in the buying industry for over 18 years and it was just a matter of time before i became very familiar with the parts, steel and chemicals that I had to purchase. My relationship with my co-workers is always an excellent one and I also tend to build a good relationship with the suppliers. What I had to get use to was working in a very male dominant environment but with time i also overcame that aspect of the job.

Excellent exposure to industry

My typical working day involves meetings to discuss project updates and new projects, seating on my desk and doing actual motor designs and calculations, doing factory walk downs and also assisting sales department with tender documents and designs

Pros: Great opportunity to learn
Cons: Long working hours
