Learning brings growth
Am focused on my work and love to learn. I was responsible for handling calls and surveillance. I work as an operator in a control room responsible for safety for the whole plant. Do reports daily and work with stake holders. Record details on excellent. My major work is emergency service related with all managers. Working in shifts doing correct handovers takeover which relationship is good with all workers. I enjoyed to see people attended with speed and full attention saving life. I leant to love people to perform well in my duties. The most challenge was making sure all developments are applied from day one and deliver

Great opportunity for learning
I got an opportunity to work under supplier quality assurance officers and quality assurance officers., where I learned a lot about quality assurance. I assisted them with a lot of projects which gave me a bit of experience in the quality assurance that I can use to further my career. when you n one mentor, you get to learned a lot from different people and observe different ways to work. from all that I adapted my own way to do certain things.
Pros: Great opportunity for learning and growing
Cons: taking interns every year without creating vacancies for them within the department

AEL Intelligent Blasting
AECI comprises of five pillars, namely Mining solutions, Water and Process, Plant and Animal health, Food and Beverage and Chemicals. We make up a total of 17 companies and 7908 employees. AEL Intelligent Blasting has contributed to 52% of the AECI’s total revenue during 2017. We produce over 80 000 tons of explosives every year. Apart from developing, producing and supplying explosives, we also produce the latest generation initiating systems for blasting operations. Our department has a diversity of different administrators and different customers. The team consists of local-, spares- and export administrator all with different personalities, work ethics. I want to improve in my current job and get diversity in other areas to broaden my own skill set and be an asset to any company. Understanding the importance of each role will provide me with the necessary incites of the specific job demands and assist employees to adjust and meet those demands.

A wonderfully Diverse and challenging career
AEL has been a challenging and brilliant company to work for. I have had a hugely diverse career starting in explosives manufacture and later representing our products through our Technical services department in support of our mining end user in respect to the use of our explosive products in both narrow reef and and open cast mining. I have had opportunity to grow and get involved with all facets of the business including utility and process plants ranging from primary and secondary explosive manufacturing facilities, Ammonium Nitrate, Nitric acid, ANS, Boiler plant and automated detonator manufacture to name a few. More recently my job as a process engineer to our strategic projects team has allowed me to get into design and feasibility studies where you get to create savings opportunities for the company which are always rich in learnings. I am fortunate that I have never stopped learning. I have usually enjoyed good support for colleagues and management alike.

Cons: A few too many “Re-structures” recently.

Expierenced in mechanical maintenance and managing mechanical projects
I am energetic and a dedicated person who is ready to work under pressure and co-operate with other people in a team. I am responsible, focus, reliable and an excellent team player. I have a good listening and communication skills. I am hardworking person with an enquiring mind and perseverance and i am able to work well with other people. I believe that i can make a positive contribution to your organization

Great training % developmnt offered by the company
The most pleasurable aspect about my job is the training that forms part of my main duties and an implementer of the quality management system. Also the allowances that comes with travelling. The most challenging aspect on the other hand is the organisational culture that is resistant to change and any new thing proposed.

Working for an international company
The key to working to an international company is about building relationships. The initial bond is that we all have a common goal, working towards company goals. Once that is clear, building the bridge between cultural backgrounds, language and communication channels makes it easier to navigate the terrain. Finding commonalities with different personalities and ensuring that communication is always understood makes working in such an organization interesting. Most days start off with clearing emails and processing bank transactions. Then it’s monthly duties such as GL recons and processing journal vouchers. The key to making work interesting is the team dynamic. I have found this to be great within my current company and this has opened up opportunities to learn for different individuals. Biggest lesson learnt has been around being an proactive individual, working under pressure and learning about how to anticipate challenges before they occur.

Working in a control room responsible for handling emergency calls was a great time engagement with clients. Taking call and responding to the scene of accident was communited in a speed of one ability to save life. Written reports daily and work with stake holders
