The NGO atmosphere has taught me so much in community development

Africa Ignite is non-profit organisation which develop rural communities in different kind of pillars,education,craft development and tourism. I work at Tourism pillar where we develop tourism marketplaces and experience in 7 tourism destinations across KZN, those marketplaces are run by community youth and also benefit few community members by get the local crafters to sell their product in the marketplace. And the tourism beneficiaries are included in few our the tourism experiences we developed,we develop more than three experiences in each community and we also help the community businesses by promoting them. As the project Administrator,I work very closely with the youth on the field and all stakeholders in each destination. I am team player because I dont just focus on my role only,I also help where needed among all 3 pillars of the organisation to get the wheel moving at all times.

Pros: Such amazing learning experience for me as I have learnt so much and get to understand different kind of people and their beliefs.
Cons: Everyday challenges,travelling a lot,stressful applying for funds from different funders and being financially unstable with people on the ground who cant understand the situation but yet have to keep strong and giving them hope

I am an organized and self-motivated individual and able to finish all my tasks within the given deadlines. With a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a keen desire to learn and grow within a firm. Always treating people with respect and according to their individual needs. As a dedicated professional that fully understands the importance of HR department in an organization, and therefore my aim is to make the office environment effective and efficient as possible
