Fair company, if you are driven you will survive but you may be frustrated by slow pace of

I like the company, one can grow over the years if you are prepared to work hard and drive your own personal development plan. I think there can be more obvious benefits that will attract staff such as better medical aid rates and more support for staff, noting this is the core component of our business activities. I think some of the areas need to be transformed to better show the demographics of the country and I think there needs to be more women at higher senior management roles. The Senior Management team needs to be more humble and down to earth. I also think that the staff can be valued a little bit more and be treated more like asserts that make or break the company’s success. However, the company is highly efficient and highly determined to succeed. I think anyone who has an opportunity to work in the company would really enjoy their time hence and can grow – if one is determined to.

Pros: Fairness to employees with appropriate benefits for staff
Cons: The company is top heavy which makes the company political at higher levels

The provide full end to end medical aid and related products administration for al of the major medical funds. It is a high pressure organisation which is performance driven. The holding company ACT has a number of lucrative government contracts and employs just over 4000 staff. Their salary and rewards structure is market related and technology assets are the biggest components of the remuneration budgets. ACT employs the best ICT solutions and services in the industry and acknowledges that ICT is the heart beat of the organisation.

Cons: Very poor work life balance
