I learned to work with an ICP iCAP 6000 Instrument with different trouble shooting

I was familiar with the mine industry, working with different people daily. I am now working in a small company where we are familiar with each other and work with each as a family. I know different character's of my co-workers and also know how to deal with each one of them. I work closely with the clients with different behaviours on weekends when our superiors are absent. Since the client is always right, I always explain where I am with the process and the time it will take for the results to be ready.I have learned to work with different clients and calm them down. I am now working with ICP manually and have to deal with its troubleshooting that is so different with the two ICPs I have used. I have to make sure that the results come out in time to cover our turnaround times. I enjoy working with my co-workers because everyone have the department that he/she excels in and since we understand each other, when there is a lot of work we work in departments that we are good at.

Pros: Everyone's work is visible
Cons: When someone is sick and the other took leave,we are short staff

Diverse working opportunities,

I arrived at AHK as a Junior Admin Assistant meaning i'd be working in the Administration department, however within weeks of arrival I started assisting the finance department with filing on my spare time until they took me over as an assistant for their credit card schedules and petty cash submissions and given full access to Credit Notes and Invoicing. Moresover I now assist the Quality control with day to day Quality Methods and procedures which has aided me alot in learning the diversity of departments in an organisatiob and how they all fit in the company structure. It's a very great working environmentand can manage my workload as I know the busy days for each department and get to do all the work whilst sitted at my work station.

Pros: Great exposure to different fields
Cons: No room for promotion. We have no intermediate staff just Manager and Junior Level

Excellent learning Curve

My days are extremely busy, not enough hours in the day sometimes. My relationship with my co-workers is extremely excellent. We get along quite well and enjoy one another's company. I have learnt how to be patient and customer liaison as well as working on new programs. I enjoy our Friday's the most when we get together and sit and talk nonsense. The most challenging aspects of my job is getting the files and jobs done on time.

Pros: The excellent relationship with my co-workers
Cons: normal working hours and everything after the specific times is overtime

Opportunity to grow

I have experience of Offloading trucks and packing Containers, and have general warehouse experience about operations within a warehouse. My company are sub contractors as we work site to site, warehouse to warehouse around Durban. As I am working at this specific warehouse for a while now, I have good relations with the managers, cargo handlers, office clerks and other supervisors. I have learnt about the warehouse operations, packing Containers, Offloading trucks , wagons etc .... These experiences don't come easily, but I'm lucky enough to get it.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Working with lazy co workers
