My experience at ALK Financial Services

Working here on a daily basis has been a great. Despite being told to do unpleasant tasks like make tea and coffee for client. The organisational structure is not rigid and firm, you see this when a bookkeeper is told to serve tea to clients. Duties are also not properly distributed. The company is a small company and the environment we operate in is not 100% business friendly as from time to to there are disturbing activities that take place which makes it difficult to concerntrate on my work. It's also been great working here as I've accumulated experience of doing bookkeeping for over 10 business in completely different sectors and different bookkeeping needs. Part of my job is to answer the company telephone in a professional manner and direct calls to the relevant person or take messages if the person isn't available.

Cons: Minimum chances of promotion

Experience on Exchange 2003-2010, Office365, Desktop & Network, firewall setup, windows server.

Getting to work and check all my servers if they are operating normally and all backups have ran overnight successfully. It's like we are a family where I work. I learned how to work under pressure and I enjoy putting a smile on our clients face meaning getting things resolved in time. My most challenging aspect is maintaining exchange 2003 as this product no longer gets support from microsoft.

Pros: Gained much needed experience
Cons: Using my car more often as a result the kilometers are getting high in small space of time.
