Attention to details skills, great team player and potential team leader,

I have been working in the Shipping & Maritime Industry for over 8 years, I have in the process studied Understanding Shipping, Dangerous Goods Course, Customer Service and Telephone Etiquette Course, I am ambitious and hard working with excellent team player and attention to details skills. I have been with my current employer for almost 4 years now and in the process have been promoted 4 times, this speaks to the level of my eagerness to learn and progress. I enjoy being part of a team and learning new tings everyday.

Pros: Starting from the bottom always rewards you, if you work hard, I started as a Receptionist and I have been offered immense opportunities and I believe I excelled
Cons: Feeling stuck, like I have done all the growth I can within one organisation and feeling the need to grow, It is a family owned business and sometimes it feels like we have 5 Directors instead of two, because their kids are on board

Work Experience

It is a very strict environment. I get the proper training I need, but I do struggle to cope with the kind of rules and restrictions we have as employees. I work well with my colleagues, and a typical day is me usually training with who ever i have been allocated to by our directors. I have learnt to put a lot of my theory into practice, which I feel I enjoy the most. I find that some colleagues are great teachers, but do not trust me to do the work, so I have missed out on some parts of my theory due to this.

Cons: Hostile environment
