Creating a sales environment where the Compnay grows and the Staff works as a Team.

Currently I work for a global company who specializes in the manufacturing of plastic containers for the food and non-food industries. My focus primarily is to settle a dairy footprint for the company but also to focus on other related industries. I work closely with the FMCG industries and have got a good understanding of the challenges they face daily. I enjoy seeking new business but also to manage a Team of professionals to chase the goals as set out by the board. My planning is based on a weekly basis and I often travel to various parts of the RSA meeting new and existing Customers. Although Alpla is the second largest supplier of plastic packaging globally we are not well known in South Africa. This makes my task somewhat more challenging but its exciting and I get to meet many People from various Industries.. I furthermore believe that my co-workers are the backbone of my successes out there thus my deep understanding of always treating them with the greatest of respect.

Pros: Always learning more and meeting phenomenal People in the market
Cons: There isnt a lot of cons but primarily my main concern is the possibilities to move forward due to a very narrow top structure

I’m willing to work in a team and I enjoy it at all time bad or good times

morning glory, in the factory I collect the production sheets, I capture it on the daily report. in the meantime I answer the phone, assist visitors... receiver delivery’s or collection... attend to issues on the production report, report must be send before 9 in the morning, month end must be done on the last day of the month, the reports must be completed. if I don’t have a busy day I go in the factory have a look at the safety of the people... assist to the problem... have a chat to some of the co-workers here how they feel... I’ll take it to (Management). every day I learn something about the company... I enjoy solving problems, helping someone, even if it’s not my job I’ll do it. the challenging at all is when I have to do a lot at one time.

Excellent learning curve

My daily duties is to improve and maintain the quality and Food Safety system. I make sure that employees are compliant with the required standard and maintain good relationship with everyone. I do qualify and food safety trainings and ongoing communication between quality and production. I have learned how to implement the system and how to maintain it. I enjoy training staff and sharing knowledge of Quality and Food Safety. The challenge for me was implementing the system because it was new to me.

Focusing on developing new markets but also servicing and growing existing Customer base

I have been involved in the plastic packaging industry for more than 15 years developing packaging solutions but also growing market share. I have experience in management and ran various branches in the RSA as well as Namibia. I am a Team player but also believe management are as strong as the People that support them. My work day consists of meeting new Customers and presenting my Company and offerings.

Pros: The company have been in the Industry for more than 50 years and is one of the largest globally. Lots of development was done which allows for market growth
Cons: Opportunities currently is limited with a very small top structure.

Millwright but being used as a setter

Millwright being used as a stter No growing in any form long hours of work for complains where you have to be paid for overtime Cocompany position go with favour no clue as to if the company pays with experience or qualification
