Half the world in one office building

Working for Alstom has been a great experience, it feels like half the world is represented because of the different multinational people that work there. I have learned to understand and embrace different cultures, understand different accents even this might be a bot challenging but willingness to learn has made it possible. Dealing with extremely highly skilled people in the engineering, project management sector, people who come from all over the world to bring their expertise to our country. As exciting and eye opening this is, the challenge also comes with guiding and couching Heads of departments, Directors and hiring Managers on what are laws are and how we do things. All in all, I love Talent Acquisition, the chance to bring to the company valuable resources, work with people and establish relationships with key decision makers is fulfilling.

Materials planner with 10 years experiance in material requirements planning

I am a hardworking, responsible, confident and honest person who approaches any task I undertake with dedication and commitment. As an excellent communicator, I am considerate to other people’s views and opinions and work well in a team or on my own initiative. I am willing to learn new things and can adapt quickly to new working environments. I thrive in working in pressurised environments with tight deadlines. I believe, with both my employment experience and a qualification in Basics in Production Planning and Inventory Management, PFMA, Time Management, Basics of Stores and Stock Control, Negotiation Skills, Project Management, SAP ECC6 Basic Inventory Management, Computer literacy and a partial acting as a Logistics manager opportunity will be equally beneficial to the company as they are to myself, as I am looking to further develop my career in Marketing Research projects & Supply Chain.

It was an awesome learning curve

It has been a learning curve , increasing my project management skills and broadening my financial aspect with regards to project management My working day will typically start with a review of what I have targeted to accomplish for the day , including following-up and closing out outstanding issues I have learnt to manage my time better and multitask more proficiently The most challenging of my current position is when, 80% of my work becomes urgent and needs to be priorities , which is where time management and multitasking took shape on my side

Pros: Great Leadership programme at GE being the Company that has acquired Alstom
Cons: Working though Synergies between Alstom and GE , and the threat of job loss

I pove working at Alstom, i love how they fight for worl class procefures and wualiry. I love how everyone id given an opportunity to be the best they can.

Good learning

I was working normal hours and the relationship between co-workers was great that's where I relies I am a team player.I have learn lot's of things in that organisation. I enjoy the part of team that I was in because it always has good future.

Learning curve

8 hour shift is not sufficient be because of the workload. It is a hectic environment There are 6 different satellite warehouses that are located in each workshop and the most complex of them all is the Looming area. Due to the items used in this area they are mainly c class materials and some are even managed by the suppliers (vendor) and there is a lot of missing parts in this workshop

New Technology with challenging aspectcs

Everyday comes with new challenges and revolves around process safety. This makes my skills improve from time to time with a demanding environment. Working under pressure is an ideal for me to keep my knowledge abroad and with following the French way of doing business

Greenfield Project offering amazing learning experience

New project and Global experiance. Opportunity to see diffrent sites. Company has opportunity to be trully Global but but too French and not willing to change.
