A major mistake in my life

A typical work day consist of coming in and sitting at your desk waiting for your manager to forward you work. I see myself as a glorified data capturer. My relationship with my co-workers are strained due to nepotism (the manager favoring some above others); the rest of the team members only have matric certificates and I have a Bachelors Degree and studying towards my second Bachelors and the manager makes it out to being nothing in order for you to be demoralized to the same level as your team mates. I have learnt that discrimination is alive and well (I am being discriminated against due to association). Sad but it is my own race discriminating against me. I hate everyday coming to work (I call this jail - I log in in the mornings and log out in the evenings). I enjoy it most when I can go home because then I am rid of the stigma of being associated with a group/ organization like this. There is no challenging aspects to this job. This is a real capitalist group/organization.

Pros: At least you have a job
Cons: No promotions unless you know the CEO personally

Inclusive work environment, good culture

Gkkjnit is a good company to work for.top management have right strategies in plce but lower management or line managersb on the floor still needs some improvent

Great company

Great company to work for. Very diverse. Living and breathing the values is very important. Executive management cares for the wellbeing of the staff and want to create an environment of oneness

Learning Curve

I have learnt that Altron is a capitalist company that isn't concerned about their employees and that they will bully and victimize employees as they see fit. If you aren't management you will not be considered for any increases nor bonuses.

Excellent learning with customer service

Working at Altron tmt was an excellent learning curve. I've Learnt a lot more especially on customer service, on training we were doing a lot of presentation and that's help me to overcome my long life fear of public speaking. The problem is with this Long hours including weekends, you don't have time outside work
