A challenging yet most fulfilling job

My work entails implementing local economic development projects in Amajuba District to contribute to the economic growth of the town as well as improve the well-being of the local residents. One implements projects from across all the prioritized economic sector ranging from Mining to Agriculture etc. The approach is to implement sustainable economic development initiatives in line with the development trajectory of the country. Our programmes and projects try to address the triple scourge of poverty, inequality and unemployment. I am in charge of 5 portfolios, namely:- Rural Development, Agric Development, Informal Economy Support, SMME Development and LED Infrastructure Development. This means one deals with very diverse projects. What i like most about the work that i do is the fact we change lives for the better. There's nothing more fulfilling than supporting development projects that will change peoples lives for the better and watch them living their dreams though the support we provide.

It's good for people who are about to retire.

It's a municipal there's no too much work load as there's too much segregation of duties and there's no growth. It depends who you're and who you know. There's poor management skills. Mistakes are made daily and no one to be accountable for.

Pros: Job security is its under the government
Cons: No growth

.I enjoy working on a teamwork but I can also work individually. .I am able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. .I have great communication skills. .Self motivated and shows initiative. .I have interpersonal skills. .I enjoy working with other people. .Passion for learning

Pros: Iam just doing an in-service training and the are no opportunities of hiring me.
Cons: I work normal working hours
