Have 4 years working experience.

I obtained a BSc (Computer Science and Geology) in 2010 and BSc (Hons) Geology in 2011 at University of Fort Hare. I started my work experience with Sibanye Gold mine, where I was responsible for underground mapping, sample collection and analysis. I worked for the Department of Mineral Resources in Small Scale Mining directorate in year 2015, where I was responsible for evaluation of prospecting and mining work programmes received in terms of chapter 4 of Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (2002). In 2016, I joined the Water Care programme within the Water division of the Amatola Water. Responsible for identifying operational risks and mitigate measures, effluent treatment, assisting on setting standards to discharge waste water to river sources.

Pros: I currently do not have any prons working at Amatola Water.
Cons: I currently work 24 hours once a week.

I have had great opportunities fir learning and growth.

I started working at Amatola Water in 2008 as Maintenance Forman and worked my way to Maintenance Manager.In 2014 I was transferred from the Operations Division to the Planning Division.This has been a very exciting opportunity for me to learn more about the business and grow my knowledge and skills level. It has been a very wonderful experience working for Amatola Water and the company has great potential.

It is a good company to work for because employees do get more experince

I am highly methodical, amenable and results oriented team player who is experienced in Management Accounting, Project Accounting, Budgeting, financial administration and financial analysis. I have obtained my experience from Department Of Correctional Services as Financial and Management Accounting Intern, Phucula Tadinng as an Audit Trainee, Aurecon as a Project Administrator (Finance), Amatola Water as a Financial Project Controller.

Great test of ability

Working for the organisation i have been stretched quite a bit when it comes to working under pressure and having to learn fast. The contract i have been appointed to be part of is a new type of contract for our organisation and as such it requires great amount of determinations and meetings with the client. I am fortunate that i come from a similar back ground but i was forced to quickly learn, grow and lead. On a daily basis i manage a system the client requires us to use for data capturing, compiling and verification of invoices. I work on a average of 150 schools. Since the contract is new to the organisation i advice the project managers on what documentation is needed at a particular milestone of a contract and how that contract is meant to be filled out. I train the project managers on how to input and feed information to the system and i represent the organisations on meetings with the client to ensure compliance and correct whatever may delay payment

Pros: Having opportunities to grow fast and participating in managerial duties
Cons: Extended hours without recognition

I am on a fixed term contract which ended on the 31st of January 2020

The company is on a drive to save water This is an environment where the company supplies products to all municipalities There are reviews which take place at the company in terms of price increases. This are driven and guided by Government UT us wonderful company to work for. The staff are amazing and are always willing to help no matter their stresses.

Pros: Great career opportunities
Cons: People don't like to leave the organisation so it is difficult to get in

Excellent learning curve

My work provides water to communities and I feel great joy we accomplish our goals. Working as a team has its pros and cons but to be able to achieve set goals together gives me great pleasure.

Good skills

A great place to be, has friendly and evil people but knowing what you are at work for means and you love your job do your duties as needed. Working with people makes you learn how to handles every situation coming your way as there are different cultures in any working place but learning to understand cultures and behaviors of your colleagues is one big step and a learning curve that helps a person grow physically, emotionally and otherwise. Just know what your duties are at work and know why you are there. The time I have been there has been a good working experience for me

Cons: Don't open up opportunities for staff to get better posts in the company
