Talent & Leadership Empowerment

Dealing with the CEO daily ensuring my HR strategy is aligned to his and the 2 Directors with different business strategies. I lead, direct and empower a team of 5. I have an open door policy which enables me to be in touch with the issues on the ground and deal with the challenges accordingly should I need to get involved. Staff talk to me about anything that impacts their lives, this is important to me to ensure their productivity in the business. I have learned that not all managers can be leaders. I am currently focusing on leadership development initiatives. I have great talent that I am not willing to lose because of bad leadership. I enjoy watching & coaching managers transforming from manager to leader and improvement in performance results showing evidence. It is challenging to deal with managers who are not willing to change their mindsets but engage them on robust discussions.

Pros: Dealing with different people, different challenges from different countries daily.
Cons: Old leadership with company politics that hinders the growth and transformation of the organisation. Blaming attitude.

HR My Career and my passion

Given an opportunity to influence positive change in an organisations and peoples` lives/ careers everyday is a Blessing for me. Knowing and understanding the business strategy and align it to the workforce to achieve the Organisational goals through Talent , Leadership and Performance Management is a challenge I enjoy daily. People find it easy to approach me and share their business and personal plans. I believe in confidentiality & Integrity. Interacting daily with the 5 countries I look after in Africa has taught so much about different cultures, labour laws and interpreting business deliverers in many ways than one. I enjoy watching a problem I have solved evolving to greatness in people and business. Most challenging is dealing with my stubborn management team who is resisting to stop managing and start leading ( they have been in the organisation for too long).I am seeing results to the managers that are willing to change and be coached by me.

Pros: Great opportunity to operate in such a diverse environment and dealing with different laws.
Cons: My way / the highway attitude and resistance to transform.

Pros: Its all good am a hard worker and i make sure all IT issues are resolved
Cons: Am able to work long hour i work to make sure that all employees are happy with the IT service
