Very good experience gained but I intend on moving to a bigger law firm or going in-house.

A typical day could start with a court appearance for either a civil or criminal matter in the Regional or District Magistrates Courts. I usually return back to office and start responding to clients emails. I then begin drafting and researching. I have a very good relationship with all the co-workers, as it is a small law firm. I also work very closely with my director, and I have gained experience in almost all the fields of law. I however prefer litigation and commercial matters. The most challenging part of this job is having to deal with a vast array matters. I feel like I am continuously learning and I have gained a lot of experience in civil and criminal law.

Pros: I feel that i have gained alot of experience and I honestly feel like i am a well rounded attorney.
Cons: The firm is not growing, and I would prefer specializing at a bigger law firm.

I have gained a good foundation in both criminal and civil law.

To whom it may concern. A typical day would usually start off with a court appearance regarding either a civil or criminal matter. (Could be a maintenance, contractual, drunk driving, theft, default judgment etc.) I will then proceed back to office; where I would first reply to emails. After that I would usually start drafting pleadings to existing matters. The drafting also includes letters agreements etc. The day usually ends with research and strategizing on any new clients matters. I intend on specializing in commercial matters, and this is what company secretary's deal with.

Pros: Vast array of civil and criminal legal experience gained.
Cons: There is a lack of growth in the firm.
