Friendly stress free enviroment for front office assistants, focus is mainly to ensure that all guests are treated professionally and welcomed . Dealing mainly with celebrity visitors ensuring that their visit/interviews at the news station is professional & welcoming. Answering and directing of all calls. Co - workers are very friendly not much contact with them besides when informing them of visitors. the most Challenging aspects is not having anything more to do besides waiting for calls & working on a Sunday - Tuesday. Sundays especially as there aren't any clients calling in.

Cons: No Challengers no deadlines to meet

Excellent learning curve

Its a great learning curve. i have gained much experience. I cope very well in working with a team and alone as well. I enjoy being challenged and thinking out of the box. The most challenging thing i usually come across is working under pressure. and when i am given things at the last minutes and i must meet deadlines.

Great working exprience

i am very professional at any job i do. i work four days a week(2 nights 2 days) as my department is a 24 hour department. i have no problem with working hours as long as i get paid for doing my job. the challenges i face in my workplace is that you dont get to do any mistake at any point as it is a Tv station im working with, any mistake goes on air with you might loose your job for that.i have great relationship with both my managers and my colleagues. I enjoy mostly communicating with fellow new employees and mangers, as i love making new friends always.

Long working hours, supervisors & managers expect you to stay the full 10 hours even though you've finished all work for the day hours ago. Very low remuneration whereas you work long hours

Career growth

My typical day at work was going into the office - catching up on the movements of the reporters and departments and evaluate the progress that was made during the day. I would report to the Head of Assignments Desk and Chief in Editor of the news channel an come up with a new broadcast plan for the following day. The duty I enjoyed the most was to produce on the field where all the action was happening, where the stories are.

Sort of a learning company good for starters

My daily work is to make sure all mics are working and tested before the show. Also work with directors and or show producers about the kind of work they. Work with artist and people including camera department

Working Experience

I have experience as a General reporter, covering General News and Political news as and when is required by the company and also done some News writing for the The New Age Newspaper. I have also worked as a Radio reporter (intern) at the SABC based in Pretoria, covering mostly general news, with human interests before i joined Infinity Media Network. While being at infinity media network, I also had any opportunity to work as Business producer/reporter handling content, writing final output stories for business show called Biz Pulse at the station (formerly presented by Clive Smith Ramathibela) and was also responsible for setting the tone and direction for the show.
