From been a branch manager I have work my up to a country manager with over 15 years experience

I started my career in the police which assist me with fraud investigations and knowing the criminal law. I then start at African bank as a branch manager and work myself up. I attend bank seta management diploma and passed . My positions which I have currently held are area manager regional manager operations manager and currently country manager in Kenya . All this positions required my to manage and lead staff understand draw up budgets from marketing, sales, financial budgets etc reporting to the group CEO and General Manager .i have over 15yrs experience in management with over 200 staff reporreporting to me. I enjoyed been in operations as you need are with your staff in the field communicating with clients making decisions because of the problems achieving targets and seeing staff grow whom you have developed.

Pros: Development of skills is encouraged. Thinking out the box . Creating harmony and team work amongst all staff . Target driven company with focus on sales collections and costs.
Cons: Lack of funding , company structure doesn't allow for concerns to be addressed.

Learning curve

Its a great company's but there is still a lot that needs to be done in the managent all the people that are in the higher position is white people actually there is no growth within the company that is why I'm currently looking for better opportunities of the companies that I can grow

Learning yes. Excellent I don't think so.

I was at home by the I worked at Atlas finance. I knew every thing because sometimes I was chosen to act as a branch manager while the branch manager is on leave. As consultant My duty was to help clients with loans, see to it that the loans are correctly given and compile the contract and file it correctly again was to call clients to remind them of the due date of their loans or to call them to come and do loans if ever they are interested again. There was a pleasure sometimes when it was a month end whereby we have to collect from the client and find out that the client changed the banking details, that was a very bad moment because you have to make sure you getting a new banking details of that person. The client is always right even if you see it other wise. Treat them with respect and your colleagues also you have to create a happy vibration in your office because if you don't, you will be stressed for the whole day.

Pros: I was acting as a branch manager mostly.
Cons: We were due to work during holidays but without pay and when we don't we were shown the doors. That was a frustrating moment because at times you really want to help but knowing that you are not going to be paid for that day and you are going to be boolied.

Prospecting,doing loans and calling clients

My relation ship with my co-workers was very good becouse since i started working there without any experience they tried to teach until i no the work. I learnt lot of things becouse i am hard working and self-confident and high standard of work ethics,i learnt how to do loans, how to cal clients and how to unswer phones, how to cash up money when clints paid loan and how to go out and do maketing with prospects sheet(prospecting). i was enjoying if we go out to prospect, becouse i no when we go out to look for clients our business is growing up, i was making shore that i'm working hard so that we can reach our taget and our componey earn profit. challenges that i face at work is the clients that took loan and not paying, is i no how to handle stressfull situation, i called them if their phone not working i was asking a manager to write a letter to them so that i will deliver to their work, then i delivered that letter and they start paying becouse they scared to thier maneger to fire them at work

Hardworking always looking for new challes

What I will miss the most is my co-workers when we have to work in a team we would produce quality work in a team environment. I will also miss my Branch manager.

Pros: This is a great platform to learn new things in such short period of time
Cons: Somethings we have to work late and there's no over time

Good experience

the work we do here are more than what i think it was it includes scanning,helping clients and renaming. my relationship with co-workers are professional but most of us are unhappy because we are not treated nicely. i have learnt the system and i have done more experience here. what i enjoy the most here are to work with client and to assist them where i can. the most challenging aspects of this this is where you have to juggle between helping the client and doing other work,i mean halo i only have 2 hands!

Pros: great opportunity for working in a bank

Excellent Work Experience

Atlas Finance working conditions for sales reps include flexable working hours,its an outbound sale position. Co-operation between branch manager,sale consultants and sales reps is vital because every sale is important for the successful profitability of the branch your stationed in. Sales rep position teaches you to communicate effectively with customer in order to ensure a successful sale. You earn what you have worked for,the harder you work the more you will earn,its commissioned based. Not having clients is the most challenging part because your salary is based on commission of successfully approved clients.Approving nothing means salary nothing

EVERY DAY IS A CHALANGE

EVERYDAY IS THESAME ROUTINE, CONSTANT BATTLE TO GET PAYMENTS IN. WORKING WITH STAFF THAT IS ALL IN DIFFERENT MIND SETS, CLIENTS THAT IS FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES

I am quick to learn and understand when I am trained

Every day is challenging as l experience different queries from clients. I am a good team player I like helping,advising clients Working with different people and attending any queries from head office and or clients

Learnig new thing evry day that equip me for my future growth

Learning to work under pressure it not easy but i hard to prove myself that its all about making affort put my mind to any difficult.And develop my skill by learning to my mistake. There bad time n good times Good time when i see my self doing better to my clients leting them mis me when im not around. achieve my Target for month that show my hard working n team working with my colleagues. Bad times when someone tell you that you are goodfor nothing when that person know very well that you hard working person that are challenges i overcome by speaking my mind n focus on what is ib control.
