7 years as a Senior Safety officer and independent, doing site visits, audits and reporting

As I am independent and all safety aspects relies on myself I built my own safety files and sits in on Safety File Audits Start the day at 7 and doing my round at the sites Review DSTI's and toolbox talks, sign checklists and do checks on tools and Equipment Attend site meetings and communicate to the client I have learned that being visible on the work place reduce near misses and people don't take chances I enjoy being on site and be part of the team solving problems and mitigate risks and Hazards Most challenging aspect is to not depend on a piece of paper but to get the job done safe and with out any harm to person, plant or equipment and going home safely

Pros: AS I am the only Safety at the current company the pros is not posible
Cons: Working 7 to 5 daily when on site and dont mind working a extra hour to get the job completed. When at head office then working hours is from 7:30 till 4:30 normal office hours

Procurement is a important job

I have been working in procurement for more than 20 years. I have experience in FMCG and also construction. I love working as a team because everyone as ence in different fileds so if we rok to gether then the job can be done quicker. tThe cclientis the most important person. You are working for them. The relationship with the supplier is also bery important. There is ties that there is problems to solve but I like to solve them on my own and only if there something that I am unable to sove then I will call the manager.

Pros: It is a job that is never boring
Cons: It can be stressful at times and working hours can be long
