Daily tasks in a construction environment
Working in a construction environment means that the day starts with organizing and planning the daily tasks ahead to ensure that the work flows and that the client's specifications and deadlines are met. A typical working day is normally very busy with supervising staff and sub contractors, sourcing and ordering materials, project managing the project through the various stages and ensuring that any challenges are dealt with and resolved as soon as possible.
Pros: I have the opportunity to travel outside of SA to experience how the construction industry functions in other countries.
Cons: The company changed direction and is now more focused on communications and not construction.
