Office Assistant

I've started at Cape Town Fish Market as a Bank and Cashbook controller, reconciling 36 cashbooks on a daily basis, based at the HO in Table view and being a small team I do the debtors and creditors functions as well. I was promoted to assistant national buyer but still responsible for and assistant with Finance duties. Gained 6 years financial and Pastel V14 experience.

Currently employed at Cape Town Fish Market I've gained 6 years financial experience, reconciling 36 cashbooks on a daily bases and also responsible for the debtor and creditors function and various administration duties. I feel that I work well in a team as I sit in a open plan office though I do not require constant supervision. Started

I started in 2002 and as the gone by to stop and think of all the years gone by so fast. We have that typical day where you might feel that you can't make it cos it's extremely busy and good for busy but you could also get negatives out of that and that's why reviews are there for companies. My relationship with staff is and must always be professional, I have a very good understanding with the staff and it goes both ways. I enjoy the most engaging with staff and customers in a conversation about how to go about running the business and teaching the staff the basics about customer satisfaction and teaching the staff in an area that they are not designated for because you will get the best out of a person when you show them the respect they deserve aswell. The most challenging aspect I would say when you are understaffed and you still have to make sure that every customer leaves with a smile and only then I would say that we had a good day.

Working into the Restaurant was very funny for me as that was my first job in my life, it's place always needed to be clean, being in the good mood, smiling to the customers, most excited part of the restaurant it's when the store get busy, we make money but the waste thing it's when the drinks or food delay to come out and send it to the tables but it's a very good environment

Pros: not so much opportunities for promotion, it always depends on i long you have been in the company and yours service and good attitude...
Cons: we always worked long hours and i am use to that

Good learning curve

A typical work day is a 5 hour shift leading customers to suitable dining areas. A typical customer is a tourist on vacation in Cape Town wanting to experience good food and a good vibe with a view.

I do the best I can to improve my self I like to work hard and I like to work under pressure, I like to speak with my colicks so that I can make simple thing for me, thank you.
