Working experience

I am enrolled for the Internal Audit Technician (IAT) learnership through The Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA), which will lead to my enrolment for the CIA certification. I am currently an internal auditor at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in the Internal Audit Department. I have 4 years Internal Audit working experience (2years internal audit internship) and have gained great knowledge within the department. I am able to work in a team, lead a team and work individually. I’m eager to learn new things and I believe in good work ethics. With the working experience that I have, I’ve gained practical experience to handle challenging situations and communicate well with people in a professional manner. I like working with people and sharing the knowledge that I have gained and giving assistance where needed. The time that you take reading this application is highly appreciated and I trust it will receive your favourable consideration

Pros: Learning curves
Cons: Long working hours

I have found my self winning and achieving both for the organisation and myself.

I have continued to deliver an outstanding performance in my current role at the CCMA. I have been able to make my ambitions and strategic goals clear to management from the onset, amongst others was to convince management that this unit is critical and strategic, “think beyond the silo of internal customers”. In less than two years, l was able to motivate and ensure that we have a strategic target for the next coming five years. I currently have the capability of holding a higher position when the need arise, and thus assist the organisation in managing the risk of having a vacuum in critical senior positions. This job opportunity will enable me to maximise my potential, solidify my skills and improve my competency levels. The combination of my experience and academic qualifications as evident on my CV, validates my capabilities of being able to deliver in my job.

Pros: I have a rare breed of skills which is business, finance and IT
Cons: Working overtime is a weakness in me

My relationship with co-workers continues to increase daily as i am passionate about people development. I enjoy planning and ensuring that the auditors i am leading are working according to the annual audit plan.

It has been very empowering working for the CCMA

As a Contracts officer I have been liaising with different stakeholders intra and inter companies and their clients to provide advice and help with issues related to contracts .My journey has been quite challenging but exciting at the same time. I plan my day accordingly but open to unplanned interruptions as contracts are the heart of an organisation thus it can be hectic at times. I often work closely with legal and finance colleagues and our relationship has been edifying as I have to review every contract in as far as it relates to period/duration, contract value etc and this has been very educating.

Pros: I joined SCM wihout any prior experience in SCM however despite many challenges there lessons thereof are worth it.
Cons: Last minutes rush has been a problem due to requests that need immediate attention
