Customer focused

I was previously based in a walk in centre, customer facing at all times reading to serve customers with whatever they needed.from understanding how they are billed to meeting special requests. I have learned that dealing with customers angry ones friendly ones whatever their mood it is never personal the customer has come there for help and to seek understanding due being misled by someone else...i enjoyed the nature, culture and diversity of every individual i worked with no matter what we were experiencing as a group we always found a means to shift our focus back to the customer and why we were there in the first place.the most challenging aspects in the telecommunications industry is to have each customer wow (walk-out-working) more so if what the customer needs or is having difficulty with can not be dealt with at store level...meaning support departments have not always helped and make facing a customer extreamly difficult.

Pros: Extensive training we get as technology advances
Cons: Our salaries do not match our effort nor does it compensate for thr high pressure environments we work in and all the time we spend at work.

Quick learner

Work with a lot people everyday who obviously come with different issues . It requires me troubleshoot in different ways and with that you also learn as you go as well . For instance dealing with an issue you haven't faced you'd try solve it by trying various things so when you actually do get it sorted out it serves as a learning curve and future ref you'd know what do in that particular instance .. You get difficult customers over aswell so I made it my job to try calm down the client and help them to the best of my ability . Its always refreshing to get those friendly customers who appreciate my service that's always nice .. I enjoy working with my colleges aswe Because they help out when they have to good thing about having a team is that we learn from each other

Pros: The most rewarding I'd say is dealing with customers and learning how to handle them... In every industry I'd say you work with customers and you need to know your customers
Cons: Honestly there wasn't much growth in the company .

I have grown to be a good consult for every issue regarding the field I'm in to.

For the years I've been working, I've learnt a lot and I can confidently say that I am well equipped and can work under any environment regarding the my position and I've made great relationship with my colleagues and customers

Excellent learning curve

I am Tshepang Luka, an extrovert which developed his self confidence through the energies of assisting others to find happiness in life. I am always eager to learn new knowledge as it increases my confidence which therefor allows me to maintain positivity and pollute my environment with positiveness through helping and also satisfying the comfort of responsibility which then creates reliability. In simple terms, I would describe myself as a young man which looks forward to learning new things while making other's lives easier using the knowledge I have learned. I strive to leave positive prints wherever I step foot.

Pros: Great opportunity to indulge in different obstacles that can grow my knowledge in different sources to satisfy the interests of customers

Excellent learning curve

Typical work day consists of 8 working hours assisting walk in clients as best you can. Not being based in a centralized location can be very frustrating in terms of travelling costs and budgeting. An updated database of all information regarding the telecommunications and technology market should be accessible and updated at all times in line with the developments of these industries. Working for this company has however groomed me as an employee and person, i have matured a lot in dealing with different types of frustrated clients to the best of my ability. I enjoyed the new devices that hit the market every other month, the interaction and excitement with the clients about these devices, troubleshooting issues successfully and a happy client exiting the premises happy and satisfied with the service i rendered. The most challenging aspects of my job was the out of date and inaccessible database, unavailable management, lack of sympathy by management, failure to recognize. and reward excellent work

Average

It's a good company you gain a lot of experience and client relations able to enhance them to the next level. A typical work day is always full with customers and have to render service as quickly as possible because of the queue is extending by a minute. Relationship with co-workers is good as we are a team working together. I have learned how to deliver on time work with different clients with different issues. The environment is open but limitted . Too many services expected to be delivered at the short time .

I learnt to pull up myself even after being insulted

I work at Telkom Shop in Rosebank under Centerfield Software. I learnt a lot from my company, like, to engage with customer and handle the technical queries I learnt to keep a happy face, no matter the situation I face.

Entry level job gaining experience and learning different outcomes.

Typical day at work is to assist my co-workers with processing of applications crm support the after assisting clients with first time setup of their purchased devices (laptops/cellphone/router) and after sale support. I have learnt to be patient and understanding as each client is different and all have different needs and attitude. I enjoy experiencing that first time joy when a client gets a service/device they wanted or needed.

Pros: Great place to learn.
Cons: Working weekends and public holidays

I am a very hard working person and I adapt as fast as I can. With my company I learned a lot more about delivering to the customers and giving a positive result
