Gaining experience in staff management,stock control,and handling finance. I would like to work there again If I were to go back but I relocated and want to use my experience in growing myself and my career

Working together as a team to achieve the common goal of the company - profitable

Working for Express stores has had some challenges. Not everyone shares the same view about passion for succeeding. Some are just "salary collectors" and do not believe in going the extra mile or doing tasks other than their job functions.

Pros: Family culture
Cons: loyalty versus right person for the job

Excellent learning curve

good relationship with all. good environment good directors i have learnt to be decisive,organized, confident in decisions highly professional enviroment. good work ethic and maintaining good relationships with all. building supplier relationships over the years. very comfortable working here but not much room to grow. also knowing that it would take many years to achieve the salary I deserve.

Pros: worked my way up
Cons: not much potential further

A little insight in the retail

I've acquired retail experience as a cashier/ salesperson, there we were working very hard and under pressure as we were supposed to reach targets and keep our customers happy and and treat them well with respect. I really enjoyed working at the store, my colleagues were willingly collaborating and we were a very strong crew. So I'd like to work for another company because the amount we receive there could not sustain our means. And I would really appreciate a fair salary...!!

Cons: normal working hours, and could also work shifts

Good experience

I work with people most either customers or people I work with some days are ok some are hard... Everything has to go through me, sometimes i have to contact my head office and you may find out while I'm busy we run out of staff

Pros: I don't see growth
Cons: unreasonable procedures
