Experience in Turbine Fundamentals and Operation

Attend the management meetings to discuss work progress and review scope of work. Ensure Power Plant and Eskom Plant Safety Regulation Manage technical personnel during overall, refurbish and reassemble of the turbine and auxiliary components. Create and co-ordinate signing of PQP throughout outages, record precise measurements and to work too close tolerances. Co-ordinate Non-Destructive Tests and order spares Read turbine component drawings to record sizes. Ensure continuous Risk Assessment before performing specific task, distributing checksheets to the supervisors. Capture machine data into the check sheet to Engineer for approval. Monitor the Project Programme and ensure milestone dates are met. Compiling the service report.

Career Growth

We always challenge each other for greater heights. We learned to work as a team collectively. I enjoy also hearing other colleagues views when we have a dilemma to resolve. Most challenging is when mother departments failed to plan in advance and we had to step in as Procurement and Supply Chain department to save the company from production losses

Plant Crush Start Up

I enjoyed thecompany that was starting from Demolishing phase, Construction and Commissioning of the Plant. I implemented policies and procedures in place. Part of implementing ERP system module for procurement, finance, and maintenance. Team work through challenges
