Great learning exposure, different work environments and experiences.

We do field service at mines and power stations on conveyor belt monitoring systems, we install, commission, maintain and repair these systems, there is a lot of traveling involved. At the offices and warehouse we work as a team in doing maintenance on vulcanizing machines (presses), pumps, control boxes and x-ray machines used at the mines for the conveyor belts. I enjoy seeing new places, traveling, exposure at different mines, power stations and other industries. The challenge comes with the work that needs to be done in time because of the production that needs to happen, engineering and production always get into each others way as there should be production and at the same time engineering has to happen via maintenance.

Pros: Career growth, professional growth
Cons: Long working hours, no bonus, no overtime, lack of promotional opportunities.

Great group of people, enjoying the process of learning a new job. I enjoy learning everyday with my coworkers, my job is staying focused on my work. The Companies policies with breaks is standard, 30 minutes for lunch. I have certain things I get started doing for closing my shift before we leave, it's a very pleasant place to work.

Excellent learning curve

My daily job starts early in the morning with a normal routing of going to each station and talk with employees about the 24 hour shift. I have a good relationship with my co-workers and have enjoyed working with them

Good exposure to Industrial experience

The training I am undergoing is preparing me for my first permanent job. I work with a lot of pressure and I work with supplies from outside and contractors. I run the PM systems which is a Maintenance Preventative maintenance system. I also schedule machines for repairs and also plan the weekend and shutdown work.

Pros: You learn to communicate effectively with people
Cons: You work long hours with no overtime pay
