Contitech is a world class company with up to date standards

Hands-on involvement in prod. floor, starting with Gemba walk through factory and shift meeting to discuss previous days performance and picking up on issues that would require procurement action. We have a great multi functional multi racial group involvement and interaction. This gives one good insight into the day to day performance vibe in the plant, where immediate action is needed to drive commitment and co-operation. I will focus on tracking import shipments, inventory shortcomings and expedite potential problem areas. Redirecting orders to cheapest and most reliable suppliers, working closely with sales and qtech in new bus. quoting. The most challenging aspect of my job is to stay ahead of unreliable suppliers, always reacting timeously to potential problems to ensure continuity of supply and avoiding plant stoppages. Excuses are meaningless and goal is to keep the plant running. Procurement can be a very stressful environment but good relationships, timeous reaction makes the job easy.

Fully Responsible for all areas, stand in for director, not enough time in a day, typical day is busy right through. Coworkers dependant on me. I am always learning as I need to figure out what needs to happen. I enjoy the demanding and challenging environment. Dislike the management style of my direct director.
