Excellent learning curve

To work for cticc has its pros and cons. The pros are free meals, great environment to work in, the staff is great to work with, meeting new people everyday be it local, national or international. The cons are management sucks, you never get awarded or praised for a job well done, salary increases are always an issue and ridiculous as your time effort and going the extra mile goes unnoticed. I've been thrown into the deep sea on many occasions which was a great learning curve and experience. My normal hours of work are 8am to 5pm, however it can turn into a day which is more than your normal 9 hour per day at any stage. The most challenging part besides everything being on demand, is the different type of clients you work with, it makes it so much more difficult to complete your task at hand because of their attitude, culture, difficult to understand what they require due to their accent. Overall I nail it

Excellent experience

Supervise of maintenance department (with +- 20 staff members)  Allocate & prioritize work on a daily basis  To recognize electrical, plumbing, mechanical & it malfunctions or Equipment failures and delegate to staff members  Co - coordinating & planned preventative maintenance schedule & Ensuring that all tasks are carried out within a timeously.  Responsible for health & safety  Carry out any other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager or General Manager.  Manage on site contractors, external clients & suppliers.  Oversee in-house contractors (security, cleaners, Audiovisual and Information Technology)

Excellent learning curve and skills development

At cticc I have learned skills as a waiter in banqueting customer service, food and beverage quality service And I further my knowledge in barista opportunities training and development myself more skills as a professional barista, team work experience customer service experience and knowledge of coffee make in all kinds of coffees.

Great learning experience

Great space to grow as an individual as it provides with ample opportunities to test and sharpen your skills in an environment where large numbers of international delegates are in attendance for their meetings and conferences. I relished the challenge of having to book huge numbers of staff for the bigger events whilst still making sure that the quality and standards of work are not compromised.
