Excellent learning curve
My day to day job started normally early around 5am. Going to diptanks for normal routine checkup and treatment of animals. The are different times for vaccinations and that allows us to help with treatment in between. I worked with my colleagues during disease outbreaks and normal year to year prevention campaigns. Also work with them during farmers day, monthly presentation and workshops. I learnt a lot about treatment of animals and prevention measures, marketing and sales as well as the veterinary economics. I enjoy helping sick animals and prevention diseases in healthy ones as well as teaching owners the primary animal health care importance and the cost thereof. Most challenging part of my job is trying to help an animal that cannot tell where it is sore or dealing with farmers who are not interested in the wellbeing of their animals. The other part is not being able to help them on time or see them suffering or trying to save them and end up losing them, that very difficult.
Pros: Learning curve
Cons: No academic growth
