DCD Wind Towers Reviews

Wind turbine production

HIGH PRESURE SITUASTIONS ALWAYS BUSY NEW SITUASION NEW THINGS TO LEARN DAILY. New people you meat new ideas. Productive day with many challenges new ways of doing old things. Good working relationship with everyone from high 5 to fist pumps to hugs to no contact just a shake of the head and a smile or a wave from a far. Every day people come up with new ideas of how to do things and management wanting to cut cost and time on production and enhancing production. I enjoy the rivalry between the shifts to produce even more quantity's and more quality production and the camaraderie between them and the sharing of information how to do that and this. Completing the section on time and allow the quality team to review all areas of the production and finishes and the paperwork and Data books making read for pick up of section to the farm for resurrection.

Excellent learning curve

There were some challenging days where our suppliers don't meet lead time. I was having a good relationship with co-workers and management and also with suppliers and the customers,I learn a lot about different racial background,I enjoy assisting people with passion, the communication with other departments was of poor especially regarding P.P.E non the less I overcome them.

Pros: There were opportunities for all of us getting promoted
Cons: Normal hours together with overtime

New venture - yields opportunity for growth

Everyday present challenges of differing nature, be it people, equipment or process. So one must come ready to solve problems, there is never a dull moment. This challenges one to dig deep and assess what problem solving tool to use and creates opportunity to rise to the occasion and grow. professional relationships are crucial in DCD environment, because people tend cross the line. The most important lesson is that 'people can change' given the conducive environment to do so. There is nothing satisfying than driving a finished product and seeing people grow. The most challenging aspect of my job is to convince people that there is another solution to the problem at hand, and do it!

Pros: huge scope to learn new things, great opportunity to implement LEAN principles
Cons: extended hrs of work, no perks
