Background of my work
• I have been supporting Project Accountant in De Beers Project and detailed duties are elaborated on the resume. My duties includes preparation of cost reports. In addition to my experience, I had a 3 months experience working in Saudi Arabia as a cost controller. My extensive knowledge in projects and accounts receivable will enable to me to perform full duties of an Accountant. De Beers gave me an extensive opportunity to display my skills and develop in in different dry areas that needed development. I have been working on different SAP modules and I was among one of the team members who is able to work in two systems SAP & Costrac. De Beers is a multinational company that gave me an exposure to work in different foreign currency. I was working as a Financial Officer but the volume of work I covered in this role it covers all skills from cost controller and Project Accountant. Efficiency, reliability and accuracy with numbers

What I Beleive
It is always interesting working in the mining industry and with De Beers there is a lot of focus on getting SAFTEY right. The Mini Business Areas (MBA) work well in focussing teams.
Pros: No day is the same

Good exposure
It is a good company to work at however I am ready to change the industry as I have work in the mining industry for too long now. I have learnt a lot in my current position and I am currently studying Procurement hence I feel that your advertised position will be helpful. I feel like I have overstayed in Mining industry and I need a fresh start. The most challenging aspects of the job was ensuring that I do not run out of stock on critical items like PPE and critical spares

Opportunity for Growth
I would regard this positon as a great opportunity for growth. This position does fall within my career development path. I do believe my exposure in multiple countries will greatly assist in this position. Understanding the cultural, political and administrative requirements our of joint venture partners in currently core to my current responsibilities. I have several years of experience within SC and have had the opportunity to work in all the supply chain functional processes.

Excellent learning opportunity, growth opportunities within the group
In my current role, i am practically learning project management skills and strengthening my engagements on relationships with stakeholders. I enjoy that i interact with a lot of people within supply chain. The most challenging aspect of the job is missing deadlines on project deliverables due to unavailability of stakeholders because of different work shifts
