Teaches different skillsets by helping people taking control of their personal finances

Highly regarded by both industry and customers. Winners of national awards. My colleagues are easy to get along with due to their friendly demeanor and dedication to service excellence. I do cold calling and following up on e-mail and telephonic enquiries. Help prospects with personal budgets and how to be in control of their personal finances. People are individuals with unique personalities, needs and wants. Being of assistance and seeing an improvement in their attitude towards finances and budget control. Noticing a difference in their general outlook and renewed optimism. Having to win and keep their trust in me, the process and the outcome. Assuring them that, although it is tough at present, the eventual outcome will be beneficial to them and especially their families. This job taught me how easy it is to fall into the debt trap and how humiliating it is to admit to it and seek help. Empathy, patience and humility are key traits to possess when doing this work.

Got more exposure and experience

On a daily basis i work with different client , solving queries sending emails with counter offers and paid up letters, excluding accounts and updating information on different systems, i have great working relationship with my co-workers as we work in teams which brings out the best in me as i like to work together with different people and characters. I have a learnt such a great amount of things most of all to be professional at all times and not to take any offence to anyone but having a positive attitude at all the times. What i enjoy most is when we having monthly awards where the best performer gets the award also when we have teams building where we get to know each other more. Most challenging aspects of my job is to deal with uneducated client where you need to be patient in explaining the process of how creditors works and what is expected from them on monthly basis.

Pros: Opportunity to be promoted.
Cons: Long working hours when maybe one department is behind with their work.

Excellent learning curve.

A typical work would consist of checking emails and making appointments where necessery. Making sure the team knew what targets where for the day and following up on targets threw out the day. Following up on clients statuses and following up on clients to make sure they are still happy. The team worked as a family and were very close. I have been thru a lot of training and have learned so much about the insurance industry and have grown my admin skills so much. I enjoyed getting to know our clients and building a solid relationship with the clients and survice providers. The most challenging aspect of the job i would have to say was the constant change in procedures. Its was a very good job it was just not run very well.

Pros: Its was a great learning oppertunity
Cons: Owner of company allowed personal issues to be the downfall of the company.

Corporate enviroment

Working at Debt rescue This is my first opportunity working in a corporate environment The tasks that i am given are small and I feel I am not working to my full potential Co-workers are kind and respectful but there is theft because there are a 100 people employed. I have learnt a lot about the Debt review process and have an opportunity to learn about the different departments The leadership positions are rarely available because they hire experienced debt Councillors to fill the positions within the company. The job is not extremely challenging because each person has a small part.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn debt review process
Cons: half an hour lunch and not tea break, no chatting

Excellent learning curve

I like what i have learnt about debt review, the people are awesome. I can use some of the skills going foward in life. Ive delt with a lot of creditors and now know where not to make debt
