Excellent learning curve

Working at the department of cultural affairs and sport was so much of a learning curve for me. Coming straight out of high school to join the PAY internship gave me vision outside of the box. The environment was very welcoming and that staff were wonderful. My day to day duties would be assisting on the financial department under CFO support where I would do general book keeping duties, filing of financial records and creations of spreadsheets aswell as telephonic conversatios with potential clients.

Pros: Great unity
Cons: Long hours

Refer CV

Refer CV - sourcing quotations - negotiating prices -Tracking invoices - Rating the service received by the supplier(s) - Drawing/drafting of specifications -updating of budgets I have an excellent relationship with co-workers and management we work as a team I have learnt plenty, how to manage and coordinate events -How to maintain a good relationship with suppliers and of cause a better understanding of how our department operates. What I enjoy most is overseeing a successful event with every supplier pulling there weight to ensure that. Most challenging part of my job is growth with in the company and not being permanent.

Pros: Flexibility in working hours
Cons: Growth is limited
