Paving my way to Excellence
I am a hard working and determined Industrial Engineer with equitable experience in FMG, Printing and steel processing industry. I am comfortable working with people of all levels and having an excellent commercial approach to solving problems and developing business processes. My day to day duties consist of operational and production data analysis, assisting planning and production department with identifying bottlenecks and process delays But what I enjoy the most is taking part in the budgeting for the next financial year and being involved in production improvement projects and cost saving projects. The most challenging aspects of my job is keeping up with the schedulers' constant change of the production plan, hence it has a big effect on the my day to day projects plans and investigations. Through my work experience I have learned to always stay on top of my game by staying informed and updated with company policies and daily operations.
Pros: Becoming a senior manager
Cons: No career growth program

Progressive and excellent career path.
-A typical work day Update the daily production performance data and send the production report to all senior managers. At 08:30 I attend the morning production meeting where we discuss the previous day's production performance and come up with the way forward (solutions). We also discuss and talk about the production schedules and planning for the week. - Your relationship with co-workers I work mostly with Production department, Scheduling department and Finance department, I take them as my second family hence they are an important factor of my day to day work activities. - What you have learnt To be patient and also push to achieve positive result. - What you enjoy most Coming up with new innovative ideas to improve production processes. - The most challenging aspects of the job Having to sell the new process idea to senior managers and people on the floor.
Pros: Learning Organisation culture.
Cons: Small company with little career growth.

Duferco Steel Processign is a company for the people.
AA typical workday at the present company is like looking after a baby for the first time. There are new challenges and that is what I like the most. I have a very good relationship with my co-workers. Every quarter there are new employees coming to work, students and learnerships. What I enjoy most of my job is to work with people all kinds of people irrespective of their race and background. The most challenging of my job is when I get a new task to do that I have no clue about and where I have to figure it out on my own. I also like it to assist employees with their issues and the fact that they put their trust in me to discuss personal issues with me in confidence
Pros: There is aways oppertunity for growth
Cons: standby without compensation

It is a place where one can determine what extra is needed to improve.
Daily checks on all utilities on site such as boilers, compressors, overhead cranes, cooling towers in order to prevent any possible future delays. Preventative maintenance is key. Attending breakdowns with a no-comeback attitude. Best way to attend bdowns is to gain as much knowledge of what happened from the operator involved, it normally guides you to within pinpoint accuracy to your fault. Which means that all is equal and should be treated the same. Everybody's input can keep any plant/mine running smooth. I am my biggest challenge all the time.
Pros: No standby, weekend work.
Cons: No means of advancing to a next level at the company.
