Durban Fertility Clinic Reviews

I have grown over the years working at the clinic.

Although working hours is from 8-5, I am at work by 07:15. I leave work after 17:00 because as a medical practice, the Dr never runs on time. I am not compensated for overtime. My relationship with my co-workers is good. I enjoy most the interaction with the different types of patients we see everyday. I have learnt to be patient and understanding, compassionate and caring. I enjoy commencing patients on fertility programmes. Most challenging apects of the job is the different patients who come to the clinic with different infertility problems.

Pros: joy of seeing patients fall pregnant through the fertility procedures
Cons: Finish work late.

Excellent in beginning however stagnant

The clinic has the potential to grow and become one of the major leading fertility clinics, however it is the clinicians that are lazy and not able to increase the amount of cycles. There is less work and no personnel development. There is a very strong comradeship with all workers including the directors. I have learnt a lot of peoples expectations and about the desperation of patients requiring children. I love my job, that is, giving that child to the couple and the joy that it brings them. The job is very challenging since it entails long hours, on call, no public holidays, working 7 days a week, high responsibility to show results, strict quality control and answers to trouble shooting.

Pros: Good working environment
Cons: Long working hours, no relief
