Great introduction to the industry.

There are flexible working hours, this I enjoy very much because everyone works differently. So I do my 8 hours, getting to work early or leaving late depending on what works for me and the deadlines I have. I have a good relationship with my colleagues, some I know from university. I have learnt a lot, from writing proposals for clients, site visits and writing reports. I have also learnt to work with different people, some hard to work with some easy going. I like people especially in my unit, everyone is friendly. Sometimes fitting in.

Pros: Great exposure to the coperate world.

Excellent in gaining experience in the industry

As part of the NRF (National Research Foundation) DST-NRF Internship program the company has welcome me and open opportunities for learning and experiencing the industry.As an intern i have learnt the following: • assisting senior conduct field studies in team environment • proposals writing • Assist with report writing • Conducting research on mine rehab and closure SADC legislation Research on Health and Safety, and implement knowledge into Health and Safety documents; including training on Health and Safety Systems and understanding the Health and Safety Systems of the company. So far no challenges en counted
