I’ve recently relocated back to SA, however, working at Hellman in the UAE was a true eye opener for me as a woman but mostly as a professional in my field. It was different yet the same as SA, in the sense that I had to motivate my team in a daily basis as the discrimination against nationality was rife in this region and as a country there are no labour laws In Place to protect my staff and that was where I stepped in. I enjoyed everyday with my young, enthusiastic team that are so consumed with drive despite the negatives that we as a team were surrounded by. Being South African, I could sense the dissatisfaction of my team not because of the work load or deadlines but just the fact that they were not recognized due to nationality. My best days were seeing their faces when I recognized them as individuals and as the good, hard working team that they were not only for the company but for me as their manager. I appreciated that so much.
Pros: Getting to work along side many great minds and learn on a daily basis from each one I came into contact with.
Cons: Long working hours= No family time

Time for change
I believe that I would be an ideal candidate for this position due to my leadership skills, relevant work experience, academic qualifications and also my personal abilities. I motivate staff, possess excellent communication skills, able to remain calm under pressure and have superb decision making capabilities. I supervise a team of eight import controllers and run a weekly report on the KPI’s and staff performance. I monitor KPI reports and ensure that all measures are met. I’m involved in staff disciplineary and Staff hiring. I also head continuous improvement meetings to improve processes within the different departments and I am driving a campaign on customer service for this year.

There is chance of learning, depending on your manager
I like working at hellmann, now I think is time move closer to home and spread my wings, since hellmann knows me more than 7 and half woking with them.

Working environment
Working environment excellent. Co-workers nice and to work as a team. Office is an open plan which I don't recommend, especially when you work on a reports and need to concentrate. New challenges is most exciting.
Pros: Working from home
Cons: Not enough employees, working long and late hours, not spending enough time with your family.
