I have gained solid experience as a inventory supervisor with my previous employer. I was responsible for balancing the stock, reporting to the inventory manager about the outcome of my findings. I also led several projects, which were focused on implementing and increasing effectiveness of processes and on improving the stock standard.. Through operations analysis, one of the huge issues was the procurement sector.
At Hire All, I started as an operations analyst where I had to learn how the company operates. I really try to continuously implement this principal. Through this you can see where the issues and difficulties lie. When I started, the biggest issue was in the machinery that was being hired out. The machinery was unreliable and causing extra costs as well as losing customers. After some research, I decided that the biggest issue was in the cheap parts but not necessarily of a high quality. I decided to take over the procurement department where I started by sourcing the correct part at the best price. When I finished, we were able to put a machine on site with more confidence. Our costs in terms of labour to carry out the repairs also reduced. My achievements at Hire All could not have been achieved if I did not form the relationships that I did with my co-workers and get their buy in. I did this through explaining that the change will reduce the pressure on everyone thus making all our lives easier.
Pros: I was in a middle management position. This allowed me to communicate with everyone from the managing directors all the way down to the general laborers in order to implement changes thoroughly throughout the company.
Cons: No direction. I was often given tasks with no clear understanding of where the task is headed, who to work with to implement the task at hand and what else was happening in the company that would affect the task that I had been given. This I had to figure out as I go along and come across issues.

I have learnt the importance of having proper structures in place
A day would start with looking at the companies figures and projections for the day, establishing if branches are on track to deliver on commitments. Time is shared between branches where we look at how the company is achieving it benchmarks and where it is falling short. How we need to improve what we are doing or how we change what we are doing. Most interaction takes place with Senior Managers and thereafter Branch Managers but on occasion as and where required their staff are engaged to get results and to get the buy-in of all. Weekly meetings are held with MD and owners.
Pros: Good exposure to Yellow Metal Plant
Cons: Structure and systems a draw back as previously being exposed to infra-structures like Teljoy & Imperial.

You can learn a lot as you work as Jack of all trades
not really bad company to work for as there promotions where you can boost your knowledge and learn more, but they pay less salaries. if they employ someone from outside they will earn for than you do. you can learn a lot from the company as you work as Jack of all trades.
Pros: there are promotions but pay less salaries
Cons: managers do work long hours as they got no breaks
