I am very excited about the internal position advertised, which focuses on Demand /Supply planning, buying/purchasing of goods and logistics, and i have a strong Degree in Economics and International trade and a post graduate degree in Economics both obtained from North-West University (Vaal-Triangle campus).

Profound environment for diversity and working cross functionally

Illovo Sugar is an excellent company where I have developed myself because I been afforded invaluable opportunities. We maintain close relationships with the various functions of the organization to ensure we are aligned with the business strategy. The sugar industry is diverse and has a unique culture that encourages open and honest communication at all levels. A typical day in my space ranges from problem solving, decision making, data analysis to functional/technical HR such as contract management and disputes, interviewing and manpower planning, specifically for expatriate employees in our 5 operations across Africa.

Pros: Ample opportunity to travel within Africa
Cons: Low opportunities for promotion

I am working in supply chain, working with different stakeholders, internal and external

N/A I would like to work for a stable company, which can provide growth. I am currently based in Durban, I would like to return to my family in Johannesburg.

Pros: It is a well established company with operations in different African countries
Cons: Unexpected traveling
