An excellent learning curve of how to deal with a family run business.

A typical work day is busy especially this festive, too much management issues and nepotism, but the staff is really respectful and diligent. Learnt to be calm under pressure and resolve any issues with a level head. I enjoy the vibe, the interactions with guests to get feedback for growth and improvements. The most challenging aspect is dealing with other managers who assume we in a competition yet you trying to do your best to improve yourself and learn more so as to become an Ops manager

Pros: Great learning curve, different environment and a bit challenging clientele, good for growth
Cons: Long hours, nepotism and unprofessional team leaders

Excellent industry for growth

It was an amazing place to in. I had a wonderful team to work with who taught me many things in this industry.. My managers were always generous with their knowledge to impart it to someone else. I learnt so much in leadership skills and even to manage yourself in every department you happen to be in to. I have been doing work of an admin person and I didn't have a problem because I knew that it was working for my experience. I always delighted to learn everything in the field of everything in finances and how to do the work of a clerk. The team I have been working with was so kind to allow me to learn many things in the industry.

Challenges of working with rude customers,joy of a happy customer.

It is nice working with people but challenging when the place is full an orders are more. Some customers come being moody,others gets drunk but knowing that a customer is always right,then I keep calm an answer with respect. I work well with team. This kind of work teaches one to be friendly an humble. It makes me happy when a customer goes home happy. Most people say the pressure starts when meat orders are mixed on a braai stand,but with my three year experience I got used to getting orders right.

Pros: making more tip from customer's
Cons: not spending mor time with my family
