Excellent learning curve

Typical Day -Providing first-tier support across all applications encompassing the Fixed Income program suite. Relationships with co-workers Are good, they know they can depend on me for any assistance within our team space, I enjoy sharing knowledge. I am always enthusiastic and create a pleasant working environment within the team. For my birthday as the one now recently past, I made it a big celebration and brought catering in for the whole company. I have learnt so much in the fixed income space in terms of the IPreo products, created documents on processes & streamlined a few process to make the work a bit easier within the team.I enjoy training people, assisting others in their growth development. Example on advanced excel - Pivot tables and macros. I enjoy the company culture and environment. The fact that there were no process documents for the new employees and the fact that our client queries are not properly tracked nor resolutions updated in Jira or the Salesforce client query system.

Pros: Great opportunity to travel overseas to different offices
Cons: Long working hours and shift work.

Good exposure

Working at IPREO you get a good opportunity for exposure to flow of funds within markets, regions and sectors. an 8 hour work day comprises of data entry and cold calling (which you are not exposed to in the interview). The employees are very pleasant but there is a large disconnect to the managers and executive committee. The most challenging aspect of the job is completing the workload in the stipulated time, but all manageable.

I intend increasing my knowledge and experience within the systems design space

I have gained invaluable experience working in IT within Telecoms, Investment Banking, Online Payments, POS Systems, Small Loans,Asset Management. I am seeking to join a structured organization that I may learn from and value their contribution to my career path. My passion for IT and creativity is what drives me as I am a self motivated and highly productive individual constantly seeking to improve myself on a personal and career development level. The past 17 years in IT I have learnt I should value time & my work & to always deliver on my duties. My skillset is something thats broard but oi am gratefull to the companies that have contributed to this career trajectory.

Learning

A daily experience is always learning new things however it is amazing for me to understand finance in more detail than before I started here. I always wish to thank my current managers for giving me this opportunity to learn.
