My continuation to humanity

The last major international organisation I worked for was Bidtank Bidvest in Durban. My position was Training and Development Manager and was responsible for human capacity development. I delivered 4 times the of the previous incumbent. Currently I am in a part time position lecturing at Durban University of Technology for about two years. I have an extensive base of experience in industry. I enjoy my work planning, preparing my courses and making a difference in the lives of all my students and colleagues and enhancing the economy of South Africa. It inspires me when I receive rave evaluations of my contributions to my protégés. I'm in an human empowering business which I love.

Pros: Bidtank is good company to work for. A very diverse group.
Cons: Too many industrial relation issues. Lawyers and lie detectors are used to get rid of employees. Some managers have no management skills.

Great people to work with-in terms of personalities. Company willing to fund your education

Typical working day- hectic Traveling- lots of it Great opportunity to learn new skills A good relationship with coworkers. Co-workers have great personalities. Working on different projects from different engineering disciplines is what I enjoy the most and as it gives me a good opportunity to learn. I also don't have to do the same thing every day.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn new skills
Cons: Long working hours. employment uncertain
