Itec Reviews

Learning area

I learned a lot working at Itec company because we are dealing with more than 100 students per day ,good communication skill because we dealing with different behaviour.Where my duties included helping students both telephonically and in person. Capturing and Scanning of application for students. Assisting in processing of students results. Responsible for student and staff queries. Printing, Copying, Faxing, laminating. Encoding cards for staff and students. Help desk which includes general admin work, invoicing of printing, stationery and supplies requisitions, ordering and receive of stock for external or internal. Working at Itec gave more exposure in working under pressure and meet dead lines and give reports. working with my colleagues also was vey good because under that pressure we help each other to make sure we finish work of day.

Pros: great exposure to many things
Cons: working under pressure

Excellent learning curve

I basically do a multitask job in that I work as a ICT Facilitator and ICT Network and Technical Manager. I am also involved in ECD project work but mainly on the ICT side of things. I sometimes am required to work overtime and give an evening class. Because I work with people that work in an Early Childhood Development Background, everybody is usually naturally happy people as we are working for the benefit of children so the working relationship has mostly up days. I have learnt and gained extensive PC knowledge through various everyday challenges and I enjoy all aspects of my work other than what I earn. The biggest challenges for me is making sure I consistently give the same service as at times I have not had the best makes or quality Computers to work with and have been constantly moving parts from machine to machine

Pros: It's great to know that the work that I do benefits children
Cons: Standards of living are getting higher and I don't make enough to make the ends meet

Excellent learning curve

I am an individual who like being busy. For me a busy day is a well spent day. I enjoy learning new things and like socializing it makes it easier to build a working relationship with clients and co-workers. I enjoy an atmosphere where we work as a team with co-workers to make it easy in assisting each other where needed. I have learnt that in a work environment it’s not about individual effort only but team work because working in a team work we achieve more etc… Mostly I enjoy reaching my set targets for every month and having happy clients. The most challenging aspect of my job would be not being able to provide the client what I know it’s best service. It can stress me out because I want to give the kind of service that I would be happy with if given by another.

Pros: An opportunity for growth
Cons: Working unannounced hours

Analytical thinking,

The bottom line of our department is 'Team work makes the dream work'. Always there to assist one another even if requires to put in a little extra time. I have been taught to be more attentive and analyse my daily duties to be more pro-efficient. The best part of every day was the reports I compiled because I would learn new aspects that make up the 'Bigger Picture'. I would always try to spend time in other departments to see how the business works and gain knowledge and different skills. The most challenging part of my scope of work would be gaining more responsibilities sue to continuously trying to improve our system of how we do our job. At times it wouldn't make sense but trail and error is the only way to figure out a positive solution. To walk in every day with a new challenge always kept me on my toes and would not give any staff member the ability to idle.

Pros: Managers always try to pull put the best in you, Any input is with considering to improve the business, Amazing Co-Workers
Cons: Pressure, Expectations

My current company are really going to miss me as I know I am an asset to them

Very prefessional

Did first line support, dispatched of technicians, follow ups, remote desktop. My relationship with my co workers were good. I didn’t learn much. We are very prefessional and hard working.

Pros: Good salary
