The organisation that values its greatest asserts, is likely to prosper in its business.
The institution has good individuals within different divisions, who act as good mentors for those in need. Working with the marketing team has always been a great deal of a challenge especially when working in a totally different field, than, the one you're most comfortable in. But my team members are the best, they make you feel that you are placed at the right position; at the right time; and that you will gain the right skills for you to be part of the team and conduct business sparingly. I have learnt to be a team player, a disciplined individual with a great client orientation skill, and cooperate with the policies and procedures. The most challenging aspect of my job is to keep registering students for all semesters and ensuring that we have enough students for all SETA accredited courses. As the organisation pays a lot of money for those programs / qualifications.
Pros: Great individual personnel with skills and a vast business knowledge that accompany their expertise on relevant subject matters.
Cons: No growth for in terms of meeting personal goals and objectives, and positively contributing to ones' career path. Lack of good governance.

You learn alot from doing adhoc activities and setting weekly targets raises your game.
Working at Jeppe College can be fun, stressful, and exhausting at times. It is a typical working environment where you need to be motivated to get through the day. How? I used to plan my work a day prior so that I know what to do and how to do it. I also have to report everything I have been doing everyday, so I can not send a report and say I was sitting the whole day. Hence, I ensure that everyday before I knock off I plan for tomorrow's day. My relationship with my team is so good that we even enjoy break fast / lunch together when we're less busy at time. The enjoyable challenges are going to school visits to present the courses we offer and market the college to the learners. We also attend career exhibitions/expos to the learners. Influencing learners to attend open days on a weekend is hectic, because everyone wants to relax at that time. But its fun, stressing and exhausting!
Pros: Great individuals who are there to guide and mentor ones progress with the unit structures.
Cons: Communication channels are poor, and their payroll system is done last on minutes of every month.

Learning Curve.
Jeppe has a diverse culture both in Tutors and learners. Managing big classrooms and assessing each individual as well as mentoring them one on one was beneficiary. I learnt to work as a team and patience with struggling learners. I learnt how to invigilate, assess exams and moderate them. A typical work day consists of two hour lessons from 8am to 16:30 everyday - Monday to Friday. Saturdays- from 8- 14:00. Lesson plans must always be ready. Updating students assessment files and checking if all your students have paid fees before attendance. One must set 6 tests in a semester per subject and also mark all the tests and record the marks to be submitted to the department of further education just before the final examinations. I enjoyed is seeing learners changing theirs characters, their behaviour and engaging in learning and development.
Pros: There weren't so many opportunities for promotion at Jeppe College.
Cons: I worked long hours at Jeppe- Monday to Saturday, however, I enjoyed as my concern is to satisfy students' educational needs.

Give to the circumstance that I always work over time without any payment is the most frustrating to me as an employee because I dedicate myself to my job each any every time.
Pros: no great oppurtinities to learn more or experience new challenges
Cons: working long hours almost everyday without over time payment

Teamwork gave me experience
I clock in at 7:45 am. My daily duties include invoicing receipts, communicating with clients and stakeholders regarding their accounts. I report directly to my manager on all issues of my department. I compile a weekly report every Friday and a monthly report on the last day of every month. I have a good working relationship with all my colleagues, I enjoy working with people. The major challenges I face is nonpayment from our clients which results in me having to go the legal route.
Pros: Acquired lots of financial experience
Cons: Too much paperwork
