Researching, developing, and promoting farming practices or products that diminish the effects of changes in soil, climate, and weather or prevent damage from pests. Visiting fields to collect seed and leave, plant, and soil samples and testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes. Keeping detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples. Generating reports and presenting findings to management, clients, or other interested parties. Volumetric spore trap (VST) Citrus and grapes monitoring for blackspot. Data monitoring (fulcrum, Dropbox), Quality Control. Citrus and Grapes weekly monitoring (Visual) and Pack house inspection. Spraying programme and PPE presentation for farm workers. Assisting with the plant selection process and the development of planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines. Exactly and less than what I did in my Tax practice

ALl VAT returns of several companies - turnover of all about R200m per month Work through general ledger to ensure correctness of VAT Control Assist Group accountant in all financial day to day tasks, month end and year and for monthly reports Take care of all company secretarial work - CIPC, minutes, etc Do all ad hoc accounting inquiries and assist with agreements and the interpretation thereof

Excellent learning curve

The company, with mostly family members as directors, can be classified as large, with not many permanent workers but a lot of independant contractors. I enjoyed most working direct with the CEO for which I have immense admiration and loyalty, also any enquiry of the indepent contractors or their bookkeepers. There were mostly genuine, friendly co-workers but at least two ladies who loves to stir. I had very good times and friendships with co-workers. I will keep their personal secrets, secret and tried to help with problems if it were in my power. I am a workaholic and love to work, but hours and hours of overtime work went by unnoticed by the financial manager.That was the most challenging aspect of previous job.
