Good learning curve

High intense pressure Team spirit is limited. I have learnt to be customer orientated - the will to be able to assist others is satisfactory. The most challenging part of the job is having to deal with customers who don't plan properly and are always out of stock.

Experience

Provides and co-ordinates human resource services within a designated area of the organisation to ensure the proper application of all HR policy and procedures, compliance to legislation and achievement of all HR objectives so as to assist managers to increase the productivity of their departments/units. Advises and educate line management and staff on the application of HR policies and procedures to ensure the correct and consistent implementation of all HR processes and systems and compliance to legislation. Oversees, applies and participates in recruitment and selection procedures to ensure that vacancies are filled timeously with the best qualified candidate in terms of the job requirements and in compliance with Lancet policy.

Quality Assurance officer

We audit support departments against ISO 9001:2008 and slowly introduce 9001:2015 into departments. We also audit labs against 15189:2012 and help lab maintain the QMS and accreditation status. We travel throughout the country to perform internal audits. We train during the audits. It is very fulfilling to meet different people and to see their understanding of QMS and the ISO standards. I am passionate about the implementation and maintenance of QMS.

Exciting

I was very excited when I receive a call from my company for job interview seven years ago.I was only 21 after two years of unemployment after finishing Matric back in 2008.then i was employed as courier collecting and delivering parcels from point A to B,using a motor bike as i had only motor bike licence.At first i was scared to be lost as i was not familiar with Johannesburg but the staff and supervisors they where happy to help with directions they even tought me how to use map book.i really enjoyed becouse after getting my code 14 license they gave me a car to work with they even offered training for defensive driving to become professional driver which is good.

Pros: lot of promotion opportunity
Cons: 42 hours a week

Future career growth

I manage appox 160 staff in Central region. Shift HR an ER management. Customer and Client service by ensuring good turn around times and quality of service. Working in team woth local CEO and other Regional Managers and pathologists. Prior worked as Regional Call Centre Manager for 26 years. Managing staff in central and southern region call centres. Having good cross functional team work. Growing and defending market share.

Great exposure

I'm a hard worker and committed to perfection quick learner and have experience in HR and payrol in the Years of experience I've worked as a HR Admin and HR officer I've learnt a lot and expose to all HR aspects, still looking forward to learn more

Good company,with great learning opportunities especialy in pathology

It is a very interesting environment,and a good learning experience.my department is a haematology branch where we deal with anti-coagulation clients,for blood test,and advise on warfarin therapy.it also involves health education in lifestyle,drug interaction with warfarin. monitoring the improvement. I enjoy mostly when clients are in a normal range and can contintue with their live only do check up once in 42days. the challenging aspects when we cannot maintain a normal range for a client.
