Great autonomy

fantastic role developing process and systems and developing employees. A matrix global structure can be complex with multiple reporting lines. Daily roles involve cost planning, forecasting, cost controlling and budgeting. it also involves production stock pile valuation and reconciling. The key challenge is managing creditors and debtors (working capital management)

Excellent autonomy

fantastic opportunity to develop processes and systems and set up ways of work in line with global best practises. fantastic learning opportunity with our global holding company. The day to day role involves amongst others enforcing organisational governance processes. developing and maintain good reporting systems. My day in a nutshell involves managing the accounting team to ensure prudenyoni cost management and controlling as well as forecasting and budget. I am ultimately responsible for both the income statement and balance sheet

Amazing transformation experience

The most challenging but yet best experience ever having to move from HRD Officer/SDF to HRD/Transformation Manager in a period of five years. Making solid decisions on behalf of the team and taking accountability was quite a journey, uncomfortable in the beginning but challenged me to think out of the box, to be more assertive and more decisive. Managed 6 permanent employees and 11 Subcontractors who directly reported me. I built quite a strong and trusting relationship with my co-workers sms earned trust from management. Typical days at the operation included planning ahead for all interventions to follow through and overseeing the implementation process, expo meetings to give feedback on departmental developments and progress, ensuring smooth operation on a daily basis.

Payroll knowledge

I have learned that I adapt well to new systems. We do not have a live payroll system but are working towards it. Due to the manual systems HODs do not stick to deadlines. I have managed to put deadlines in place and force them to stick to the deadlines. My subordinates struggles with following rules, they complained about every rule and procedure, but by not giving up and sticking to the rules they are slowly accepting it. They had now filing systems. I had to setup a filling system for Payroll files and employees personal files.

Pros: Learning more T&A and Payroll systems
Cons: I have no assessor to stand in when I go on leave. Working through my leave every year.

I am Self-Motivated, Dedicated and flexible and reliable person as far as work is concerned and I am a fast learner. I am a good Communicator and I enjoying working with people both from different and similar backgrounds
