Working at liberty has prepared me for a great future.

On a daily basis, the biggest challenge is meeting the targets while providing quality service for the clients. Efficiency and effectiveness work hand in hand in the claims department and I have learnt quite a lot when it comes to all the projects that have been assigned. I enjoy working with my team because they are very helpful and I can safely say that we do not only learn from our trainers and management ,but, also from each other. We have worked on the processing of unclaimed benefits (including pension and provident funds), death claims, suspending claims, etc.. What I enjoy the most must be learning more about other departments and funds provided by Liberty as we are assigned and trained for different projects. The most challenging aspect of my job is ultimately dealing with difficult clients. I do however not let that get me down or distract me from doing the best that I can when it comes to doing my job because I love what I do and I definitely never back down from any challenge.

Pros: Being given the opportunity to learn various aspects of the business
Cons: No opportunity for growth (promotions) in my department

Change is a constant

Learning in the field, adapting to change and enhancing skills is a constant in this industry making the environment challenging and satisfying. Changing customer needs and the economical situation in the country requires understanding, empathy and a sense of urgency at all times. Everything we do is for the benefit of the end customer, the member. Systems were not kept in check to remain the leader in the industry. This means employees need to understand the relevant act and regulations to perform their duties to both satisfy the customer and comply with legislation. Highly pressurized environment with committed people who share a close bond to deliver to the customer. Educating our people is of utmost importance and every opportunity is taken to support career development and growth. People management is always the most challenging due to the diverse cultures, experiences and personality traits found in any group of people.

Being a at Liberty

It has given me great exposure when it comes to the FSP Industry. Having the best manager was a bonus. The people I work with have become family to me. Both occupationally and personally. Helping people have financial freedom makes me feel like I add value to the community at large. having to deal with brokers and tax consultants is what i found as challenging in the job i do.

Pros: there's growth within the company.
