Life Occupational Health Reviews

Excellent Career deviation as to what I am currently doing

I am currently in the motor industry managing about 1000 employees on Site. We conduct medicals here, do chronic health care, primary health, handle injuries on duty and needed referrals, work closely with the Dr to make decisions on cases referred by I have learn't to work under pressure here as it is a very busy clinic, my listening skills have improved a lot. I have become more firm in my decisions, yet remaining fair and open minded at the same time. I have learn't to respect all classes of the working adult. I enjoy the challenge this place offers and consistent thinking one has to implement as you need a solution to every problem. I also enjoy the fact that I am playing a key role in the Health decisions on site.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn something new and working with the youth
Cons: Repetative work and routine

A scientific field where you need to advocate for the client and for the employer

I got a very full day start at 6h00 at a mining clinic. Doing the wellness and education, do the management reports and then the medicals, initial, annual, change of occupation, driver medicals and assist in the proto-medicals.We do biological monitoring on the relevant groups that got the potential to be expose to chemicals. I visit the workplaces to get first hand experience of the challenges that the workers need to adapt to. The quality control and inspections can be very stress full. To do good in a audit is for me a must. My unit must be the best, I do not like is the disability management, however it can also be the most rewarding aspect of my job. It is a great feeling to assist a client to get a alternative job that suit the client and that benefit the employer. My job to keep the workers healthy while providing a income for their families. Emergency preparedness and planning and injury on duty end disease management and submissions is part my profession.

Pros: Great teamwork
Cons: Never get the feeling that every thing is done.

I am a person with a drive and personality to do and achieve whatever I set my mind to.

A typical Work day: Is arriving at work set yourself mentally in to start your new day with a cup of Coffey and to tackle all challenges. Relationship with Co-workers: I have a very good relationship with all staff members and clients. I always help where i can. But i keep it limited as i work is more important, as at the end of the day you can show a good result of what has been done. Learnt: I love learning new things and always willing to learn. From being a data capture, administrator to being in Finance i have made progress. Enjoy: I love working, but it is time for a change for something new. Challenges: All new things you take on are challenges. Are you strong enough to handle it. Yes, i am very much and one of my strong points.

Pros: Yes, this will be a good growth
Cons: Yes, i will

Learning Curve

A work day is a typical 8hrs a day, lunch times depending on medicals booked or tasks at hand. Having an administrator will be good as there is a lot of admin work and thus making it challenging to juggle between admin work and patient care, fitting in walkthroughs, inspections and attending meetings and reports. I have learned to multi task and able to fit work with more hours in a day. Client satisfaction and reaching targeted goals whether for a month or for the day.

Pros: Great Exposure to different environment
Cons: limited training for professional growth

Good growth opportunity

I have started working for Life Healthcare through EOH in October 2016 on a contract basis implementing SAP as their new ERP system. This is a very good opportunity to grow in SAP and to learn a new industry; Healthcare.

Pros: Learned more of SAP and the everyday duties in the Healthcare sector
Cons: Contracted for 6 months
