Great starting point

A typical work day would be , confirming contracts , drafting them and entering them into the system continuously tracking transport. comparing weight differences between and warehouse. Checking packing lists for BLs and checking drafts BLs. blank endorsing BL's and courier them to shipping line. Paying service and commercial invoices and allocating shipments to clients as well as insuring cargo. my relationship with my colleagues is amazing. we work very closely together and we back each other up quite often. everyone has their designated contracts and clients but no one is ever shy to jump in should one need any help. throughout my working at IXM ,I have learned that together we can do more. I have learned the true value of maintaining good relationships and also to be thorough in all my work. The most challenging aspect of my job is the different cultures that I work with on a global platform, if one is not careful it is easy to get lost in translation and as such not perform accordingly.

Oppotunities within the company

when I first started working for Louis Dreyfus Company I was in for Filing but as they say that quality stands out potential was spotted and was given an opportunity to help in Finance department; I was given an opportunity to further my studies which was great. I leant and still learning to be organized and be professional. I have enjoyed great opportunities especially when it comes to education. great relationship I have with management that makes me think out of the box and be independent and that no matter how the idea can look small but it can make a different within an organization.

Variety of daily challenges

My current job exposes me to various day-to-day challenges that usually require thinking on the spot. Being exposed to various engineering disciplines such as Electrical, industrial, production, mechanical and chemical problems. My work involves the production of crude sunflower oil and requires effective communication and leadership skills throughout the hierarchy of the company. I enjoy the various challenges faced daily, however, am not stimulated enough by them.
